KD_1Kendra Domotor is a recent graduate of Ithaca College with a B.M. in Vocal Performance (Magna Cum Laude).  While at IC, she was awarded the prestigious Roberta Peters Scholarship for the 2014-15 academic year, sponsored by the famed soprano herself.

As a performer, Kendra has performed with Opera Ithaca, Manhattan Opera Studio, PA Lyric Opera, IC Mainstage Opera, IC Opera Workshop, and IC Women’s Chorale.  Additionally, Kendra has studied opera performance as an Apprentice Artist with Opera Ithaca, and as a participant in the Manhattan Opera Studio Summer Festival in New York (upcoming summer 2015), Si Parla, Si Canta in Italy, and the International Performing Arts Institute in Germany.  She also studied vocal pedagogy at IC, and currently maintains a private voice studio with students of all ages.

wertherAs a fitness professional, Kendra currently works as a Group Fitness Instructor at Multisport Fitness and Retro Fitness Stroudsburg, and recently taught at the YMCA.  She began her fitness career as a cycling instructor at the Ithaca College Fitness Center.  Kendra is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Group Fitness Instructor, a Schwinn® certified indoor cycling instructor, and is currently working toward her Personal Trainer Certification through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). In addition to teaching indoor cycling, she has taught Body Chisel, Ab Madness, TRX®, stretch classes, and even created her own original class entitled DANCE Fit. Kendra enjoys a myriad of other physical activities as well, including weight training, kickboxing, running (sometimes), yoga, and more.

1513204_10152929685261715_5093577255686922489_nKendra aspires to one day work as a personal trainer, fitness specialist, and health coach for singing actors in addition to pursuing a career in opera performance.  In her “perfect world,” she would love to teach workshops for singing actors on fitness, and workshops for fitness professionals on healthy voice use and music selection in the group fitness setting.  She would also love to work at the collegiate level one day, teaching young singers how a strong body can help maintain a strong voice.
